See saw, see saw
Up, down,
Back and forth
Do I fight and strive
to do what I love to do?
Do I surrender and move on
to find a new passion
that is not so difficult?
Pride resides in determination
Don’t give in.
Peace dwells in acceptance.
This is the new me.
Hi: Rachel is my friend, we are in Bible study together. I asked for your website because I was interested in reading your thots. Thank you for so beautifully expressing what’s going on inside. I love hearing you talk about passion and how it seems it might have to change. Words are SO important, thank you for reminding me of that. I’ve read a great book, Divine Confinement, which you might enjoy. It offered particular insight to me, for our situation in our lives (mine & my husband), reminding me that this too, has passed thru God’s hands. When you spoke of the grieving process, it reminded me of this book. It is a very important part of living thru the issues, it is sort of the death of a vision we might have for ourselves. But from the rubble comes God’s birth of a new vision. I am certainly not there yet, but as you are, am in process, some days stumbling thru it all. I appreciate the heart in which you write and your poetry is a blessing. Thank you!
Hi Gaynell, Yours is my first comment. Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry. I enjoyed attending your Bible Study with Rachel at the last session last spring. Rachel got me started publishing my poetry on this blog. I wrote some of these poems when I was struggling with the decision of when it was time to stop doing a job I loved. I had not shared them with anyone because I thought it might make my family sad. But God has given me peace and I am ready to go public. Visit again. You have inspired me to add more.
